Meet Our Team



Sandeep Puri

Sandeep leads strategy, business development, product definition, and sales & marketing at Patientriciti. He is passionate about improving the US healthcare system by enabling Providers to engage Patients in managing their health and wellness. Sandeep is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of General Management, Strategy, Marketing, and Business Development experience in the Healthcare, Financial Services, and Telecom industries. His experience includes scaling small to mid-size growing companies, restructuring and turn-around of troubled companies, and driving growth in large companies.

Prior to cofounding Patientriciti, Sandeep held leadership positions at several healthcare services companies, including President and Chief Operating Officer of California Service Bureau (acquired by EOS-CCA), President & Chairman of Harvard Collection Services, and Director of Credit Management Company. Sandeep has partnered with investors to create a $25M Revenue healthcare-focused revenue-cycle management platform through acquisitions and organic growth, where he led all aspects of acquisition and management of the companies, including deal sourcing and qualification, transaction execution, and portfolio oversight as both director and officer.

Earlier in his career, Sandeep held leadership roles in Strategy, Business Development, and Marketing at Dun & Bradstreet, Qwest Communications (now part of Century Link), and Cap Gemini Ernst and Young.

Sandeep received his MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.


Rajan Vasudevan

Rajan leads product development and IT at Patientriciti. Rajan is a serial entrepreneur responsible for building several product and services technology startups. He has more than 25 years of experience architecting solutions, developing products and services, and supervising software development in technology and information services industries.

Rajan is passionate about leveraging technology to enable better communication between providers and healthcare consumers to help realize the healthcare triple aim objective. He has provided engineering management services for several companies in the healthcare industry, including Medicity, Medhost, and others. He has extensive experience with various EMR and EHR systems, interoperability among these systems, and various data exchange standards including HL7 and CCDA.

Rajan earned his Master’s degree in Engineering from the Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.



Jose Yongco

Jose is the Chief Clinical Informatics Advisor at Patientriciti. Jose is a practicing physician who has a passion for harnessing the power of information technology in transforming health care delivery. He believes that clinicians should play a vital role in developing the next generation of healthcare software applications. At Patientriciti, Jose is combining his clinical experience and background in health informatics towards the development of novel platforms and applications that fulfill the promise of information technology in healthcare transformation.

Jose finished his clinical training in Internal Medicine from the New York Medical College. He graduated in Master of Health Information Technology from University of Illinois at Chicago. He also obtained a Master in Public Health in Healthcare Management and Policy degree from UCLA. He is one of the first physicians to become board certified in Clinical Informatics, the newest clinical specialty in medicine. He is an active member the American College of Physicians (ACP), The Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM), The American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), and the Health Information Systems Society (HIMSS).

Jose is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is on a clinical leadership position with one of the biggest healthcare provider organization in the country. He currently practices Internal Medicine in the inpatient setting.


Christina Thielst

Christina has experienced the evolution of the healthcare system over the last 30 years as both a hospital administrator and consultant. A highly respected thought leader in the continually evolving field of health information technology, her visionary work operationalizes the application of new and emerging technologies that healthcare organizations can leverage as solutions to patient care and workplace challenges.

Some of her recent work focuses on engaging patients and their family caregivers in care processes for improved safety and quality. Her efforts addressing low health literacy rates, using effective communization techniques and making patients and family part of the care team are contributing to improvements in outcomes, satisfaction and the health of populations.

Christine is the author of Social Media in Healthcare: Connect Communicate Collaborate, 2nd Edition, and has served as the editor for two contributed books – one on health information exchange and a soon-to-be published book of social media case studies. Her widely syndicated weblog, Christina’s Considerations, has also been added to the National Library of Medicine’s collection and archive of medicine and public health blogs.

Christina received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science/Management from Louisiana State University and a Masters of Health Administration from Tulane University, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and member of Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Healthcare Executives of Southern California and The Beryl Institute.


James W. Brady

James is the Area Chief Information Officer at Kaiser Permanente Orange County, where he oversees all the information systems for the 262-bed Anaheim and 150-bed Irvine Medical Centers, 23 medical offices, 960 physicians, 10,000 employees, and over 500,000 health plan members. Prior to coming to Kaiser Permanente, he was the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of Technical Services at Hawaii Health Systems Corporation in Honolulu, Hawaii, the state’s fifth largest employer and the nation’s fourth largest community hospital system, with more than 1,270 beds, 4,000 employees, 1,000 physicians, and 14 facilities.

At Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, James led the technology and infrastructure transformation, including deploying the Siemens Electronic Health Record system. Before working in Hawaii, he directed the $60M data center consolidation and migration program, and deployed the Epic Electronic Health Record system as an Enterprise Information Services Systems Manager at Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles, CA. James has earned two Masters Degrees, a PhD in Information Systems and Information Security, and 19 technical and professional certifications. He recently co-authored the HIMSS CPHIMS certification study guide, the Essentials of Health Information Systems textbook, and has been featured in many healthcare news articles and webinars, as well as industry and academic conferences and publications.

James is the Immediate Past President and an Executive Board member for the HIMSS Southern California Chapter, is a member of the HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee is a certified HIMSS CPHIMS and CAHIMS instructor, and was recently awarded the 2015 HIMSS Distinguished Fellows Service Award. James also holds an adjunct faculty role in the School of Health and Human Services at National University, and lectures at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Public Health. He is married with three children, enjoys jogging, tennis, and inline speed skating, and lives in Laguna Nigel, CA.
